The Only Goal
The Only Goal
What am I and what I want to be,
Two different thoughts that define me,
The heart seeks passion, the mind seeks security
The conundrum a battle within me.
Yes, torn I was always,
Searching for answers to my questions,
Whom to listen, whom to pay heed,
Seemed as if emptiness germinated its seed
‘Satisfaction’ was a voice I heard,
My soul had joined the melee,
‘Seek what keeps me alive,
Cause without me you are as dead as can be.’
True every word of it, I felt,
Hence I chose ‘The Balance’
Passion, the drive within me,
Security, the roots to my flowering tree.
Watered with self-love, the soul,
And Happiness became the only goal
