New Beginning
New Beginning

The purity of the white snow,
The blank branches of the trees,
The despondency of winter,
Landscape barren, rigid.
Unforgiving, unyielding.
Just a sprout, one single,
Of a seed hidden, long ago,
Below the cold.
It did grow,
Persisted, germinated.
Path forged of its own,
One small opening,
One ray of light,
It’s manure?
Hope, dreams, perseverance.
Roots it formed,
Strength of its own,
The ice didn’t take that away,
Colors it did bear of,
New Beginning, New life.
