Night Scene
Night Scene
Twilight settled; black clouds cast,
Silvery moonbeams signified ghast,
The night gleamed with the city light,
Stillness arousing a sense of fright,
The twinkling stars lit the sky so dark,
And the trees appeared bare and stark,
Long shadows formed as the day rest,
And the birds returned to their nest,
The wolf howled at the monochrome sight,
The pure black comforted many at night,
All motionless, nothing stirred,
Even the tiny creaks could be heard,
Beings all tucked warmly in bed,
In a deep slumber rest their head,
Scamper the foxes, searching for a meal,
Fades away erethism and zeal,
Like a stray, I walk here and there,
Lost; no home I’m aware,
Loneliness troubles and evokes within,
But with the sun’s rays, new chapters begin.
