There is a shell of nothingness still within me!

Left behind your scent, my dear, a long time ago

And the moaning, stark and dire, on your lips sounded different

Long time ago, perhaps ages, perhaps half an eternity unfolded

After the darkness spilled all over the world..again and again and again.....

But at last everything ends, everything,

Even your absence grows on me slow and stealthily

And at last I get used to it....

The last letter still smokes within and the blue sky turns crimson when again

The shadows lengthen on the footpath below and streetlights twinkle.

I wait within and without and listens to the familiar footsteps approaching...

But, my love, I plea: Never utter those words....
