Sitting inside the home in lockdown, 

Thinking of nature. 

Remembering beautiful surroundings, 

Banned from going out into nature because of the legislature.

 

Dreaming of clean water of Ganges, 

In the sultry summer of Delhi.

Praying for Covid patients, 

In hospitals, it is very smelly.

 

Wishing to sleep in the lap of mother nature, 

Relaxing on the surface of tranquil waters. 

Thinking of departing souls of,

Friends, families, and their sons and daughters.

 

Seeing her children dying, 

Mother earth is crying with tears. 

No hope is left, 

Without God's prayers.
