Kashmir and the Daughters of India

Dear Kashmir, there are so many similarities between you and us.

You are most loved as well as the favorite child of a country and yet the most oppressed one,

Often called as heaven but usually treated worse than one is treated in hell.

They don't want to give you freedom because that would spoil you,

They don't care about what you need because they aim to control you,

They only care about your body (land) and not your mind (people),

and to protect you from external threats, they'll put innumerable restrictions on you which are predetermined.

They'll blame you, beat you, threaten you and sometimes make you bleed just in the name of love,

Their love is conditional whereas we deserve to be loved without conditions.

Dear Kashmir, the daughters of India share the same fate as you.
