Wait
Wait
That was a dark, rainy night,
Those loud thunderstorms, felt like clouds were fighting and crying,
An old lady was walking inside
Once again the clouds fight, a loud thunderstorm
The hot coffee cup fell, smashed
And brought tears in her eyes
While cleaning the floor, she remembered
How the doctor, his son once told
About Amygdala in brain's temporal lobe
And sympathetic nervous system acting in fear,
Her emotions rolled,
Well it's ten years now,
The son left her alone in the dark house
No phone call, no letter, no coming back,
She run towards the gate, whenever a car horn,
Every night has become a battleground,
Whether to give up or still hope?
That small picture hanging in her bedroom
Is cleaned regularly with that pink stoul
She attended his funeral, years back,
"But he cares about me, he will come back", is the hope she had,
And one more night a helpless mother had to wait.
