Nature's Prophecy
Nature's Prophecy
A hard day at work
complained the bees
for the unassailable roar
of the thunder and rain.
The blue jays, they go searching
in search of a tree bark
cursing the storm
for their eggs lay at its mercy.
Those lousy bushes, they smile
at the sight of the first drops.
and the touch-me-nots hide
after the welcome hugs exchange.
Eases the rain, and so do
the other creatures hiding.
The squirrels run around.
for the walnut treasure is at stake.
The rocks covered by green Mosses
with glistening aqua drops
Feel lavish, shining like diamonds
On a Queen's wedding gown.
The river sprints
Faster than ever
But as swiftly
as a newborn falls asleep.
The land so damp
where the mites breed
as the midday sun
sinks down the horizon.
As the night gets calm
the frogs creep and leap.
the wind drops the pollens
Like Santa on a Christmas Eve.
The violet sky with pearls hanging
play a soothing symphony for those asleep.
It's calm and still and too dark to see,
but the water keeps the night's company
The bright sun, he comes out blazing
when the first light falls upon.
The hungry cattle begin grazing
and the bees, oh they pray it doesn't rain again.
