A Fairytale Dream
A Fairytale Dream
Hi there, Cuckoo bird,
Why would you stop your cooing?
You're the last thing I have to save me
from my heart, in her thoughts, whining
Now that you can hear me,
Let me tell you a story
Of a dream so rare
With my love as pure
Tick tock runs the clock
And the only noise I can hear,
At a cafe on a busy road
Is her chuckle as sweet as May
The Earth stands still
as I sip my cup
Drowning in her mere presence
My heart flying with wings
Scared I was, that I would turn to gold
With her Midas Touch
When she held my hand
And asked if I could walk her across town
We walk across the street
The smiling all Merry me
And no wonder I was about to explode
With an angel hanging beside me
My heart skips a beat,
When she asks me to take her to a play
I say As you like it milady and if I am Orlando
Will thou be my Rosalind?
She's in love with the grace of Rosalind
And me, I'm just drowning
With agony and love
For I'm no Orlando to woo her with those glittery poems
The slow wind caresses her arms
So I offer my coat
She opens her arms and allows me to dress
And I wonder, is this heaven or Earth
We rest on the lawn, in an empty park
Gazing at the stars who envy us
And I turn to her eyes, only to find
A spark brighter than the stars and I'm sure it's love.
The silence is deafening
And I could hear her heartbeat
pacing with mine
Like they're one already
And as I keep drowning in her eyes
I don't realize
she's just vanished
and now become a part of me
Sing for me dear cuckoo
Sing a mellow song
For this melancholy in my heart
Is worth a thousand lives
I forget all my pain with her presence
But I also forget that the biggest pain is in her absence
Now you are with me sweetheart
For I'm at her Mercy
And dare you to leave me,
Then I'll just remain a body without heart and soul.
