My Shining Star

You are my beacon of hope, 

In a world full of terrors,

I don't need the blessing of any pope,

If you are there to correct my errors.

You are the light at the end of the tunnel,

The tunnel which filled me full of dread,

All the hopelessness concentrated as from a funnel,

Our future together is what I look to ahead.

You are the brightest star in the sky,

The one whose shine will never fade,

Guiding alone weary travelers to the north,

To me, you are more precious than pure jade.

You are the prettiest flower in the wild,

Swaying gracefully to the rhythm of the wind,

My fate is what you have signed,

Without you, the world has me exiled!
