My Mother

The woman who kept me in her womb for 9 months,

And then brought me into this beautiful world,

The woman who had sleepless days and nights,

And never complained that she was tired or disturbed!! 

The woman who has taken care of me over all the years,

And has taught me to differentiate between right and wrong,

Who has shown me the correct path of life to be traveled,

And guided me in all of my endeavours!!

The first person I will call when I have anything to share or ask,

The woman who has shared all of my life’s ups and downs,

She’s the only one who will sacrifice everything and anything for me,

And stand by me as a rock to uplift me when I’m down!!!

This loving soul is none other than MY DEAR MOTHER,

And I feel so blessed to be your child,

I hope you will always be super proud of me,

And that your lovely face will always have that beautiful smile!!
