My life is School
My life is School
I am a teacher, yes my life is school
Cannot find any place that’s so cool
Silence of library and noise of playground
Extreme opposites where else to be found
Chirpy corridors, classrooms full of life
And the quick whispering in assembly line
Aromatic air during break for brunch
And talking of kids while they all munch
Those feet moving with rhythm and beat
And my struggles to keep them on seat
Special meetings for coming celebrations
Each of those last minute preparations
Borrowing red pens to check the notebooks
Staring washroom mirror to check the looks
Those tiring days when result is prepared
The Annual show with anxiety heightened
Cribbing on days when no period is free
Or unexpected holiday bringing some glee
Yes this is my life and I just love it this way
It’s my pride and that’s all I have to say
Yes I am a teacher, and my life is school
Cannot find any other place so cool.
