My Bookish Companion

My Bookish Companion

Book O Book, sometimes you make me smile,

And sometimes, you make me cry.

At times, I’m beneath the ocean, and sometimes you make me fly.

Book O Book,

From the chirping of birds till dusk,

From dawn till down goes the sun,

When I find you around,

I feel relaxed, I have fun,

Both the dusted classics,

And the thick encyclopaedia, You’re the one whom I prefer,

Over any other source of media.

In and out, I hustle with the character,

Waiting for them to mark their return, these give me my happiest memories, Which I always wish to earn.

Book O Book

Thanks for making us happy,

Whenever we feel low,

For changing our view towards life, for making us smile with glow.

There have been times,

When everyone got me wrong, you stood with me all along, making me feel strong.

Book O Book

Thank you for letting me in,

And become a part of your story,

For helping this crazy girl,

Write this poem and bring herself glory.
