Mumbai for you and me...
Mumbai for you and me...
Beginning of the day for most of us,
Starts with the job of storing water before the rush.
Although we get heavy rains for 4 months in a year,
But getting water 4 hours in a day is a dream here.
Local trains here are filled upto the brim,
And getting a spot near the window is like a cherry on the cream.
People living in hotels and buildings big,
Flock to road side café and eateries to dig.
Some live in buildings reaching up to the sky,
Dancing barefoot on Ganpati Visarjan doesn’t make them shy.
Struggle from 1RK to 3BHK is always on,
Aspiring for something bigger and better is never wrong.
We may not be successful in all our ventures,
But never cease to celebrate small wins with great adventures.
Traffic and hardship is same for everyone,
Some travel on cushions and some on stony throne.
Life always doesn’t offer a platter of delicacies,
Even a humble vada pav can sometimes be enough to fill hungry tummies.
Designer shops and malls sell all the expensive stuff,
Crawford market and fashion street are real haven for fashion buff.
We have a good sized mountain, forest and deep blue sea,
But always try to adjust four in a seat made for three.
Rich kids study in international schools and wear costly gown,
But for college everyone travels in local trains which is the fastest mode in the town.
People here are from different regions, cultures , castes and creed,
Mumbai treats everyone alike as a single human breed.
Nobody is alone in this city of dreams,
The red local buses are always there with it’s loud screams.
Life may not be a necklace with all the happy beads,
Mumbai does give enough for everyone’s needs.
Mumbai teaches to enjoy, live life with all its zeal,
You don’t need a chandelier, a tiny fairy light can still give you the feel.
