                                              Monsoon Is Here!

Drops of water tumble out the window,

The trees dance to the wind and seedlings start to grow,

The blanket of grey clouds hides the shimmering sun,

The carrier of freshness and harbinger of fun!

The smell of Mother Earth enters my nostrils,

As the thunder rumbles and the lake fills,

Puddles now stand on the dampened street,

The lightning welcomes our saviour from the heat!

The raincoat and boots stand by the door,

Sailing paper boats, enjoying the fun galore!

Crispy snacks make my mouth water,

As I watch the shower my day couldn't get much better!

As the raindrops wave hi,

My energy rockets the sky,

For, the best time of year,

Marvellous Monsoon is here!
