Mind Remembers

Mind Remembers

Finally my grip loosened,

Aghast at my folly,

Before my eyes,

Half real half illusory,

Stood you,

Like a perpetual shadow,

Of unhappiness,

I'm trapped in a forest,

You are nowhere near,

Lies, they were,

Burning my nerves,

I don't know who put it there,

Touches that soothed my breaths,

I'm burying them today,

Burying them deep,

Burying those memories,

That replaced you today.
