Memories in Twirling Winds
Memories in Twirling Winds
All our neighbors said she's beautiful,
I'd never realized that before,
We were innocents as we were small,
She was just a girl at our next door.
She was one whom I used to play with,
Among the girls that I used to wet,
Together we laughed, cried, and shared breath,
Sharing everything till the sunset.
She was five or six, I was seven,
We did not discover yet the shame,
Running, jumping, catching twirling winds,
Wishing we would be carried by them.
Now our innocence have gone away,,
I enjoy no more such liberty,
This may be the price I have to pay
For the ticket to eternity.
She, too, behind the bars of freedom,
Playing our games with another man,
And another boy who calls her mom,
I hope she's having more than just fun.
She is no longer where I'm still in,
However my dreams with her remains,
Wishing we'd catch those twirlings again,
Together be carried by the winds.
