Me; a flightless bird

Me; a flightless bird

I wander like a flightless bird

That once knew to fly and now couldn’t.

Wings not clipped but yet I can’t

Webbed feet but yet I drown

My flock with me yet I alone

Migration for me every breath I take

Thoughts of me hatched a mistake

To life and life, itself

There is a lot for me at stake

For everyone proud, I want to make

Those that cared and even forsake

Me into a worthless, lifeless, flightless bird.

Will I ever fly again ME; a flightless bird

Soar high up in the sky above from self-demur
