The nation was a sheer victim of

The irony of fate twice, once

When his world-renowned

The successful policy of non-violence

It was said, achieved freedom

However during the hazardous partition

Millions across both the countries

Although he worked hard

For maintaining the social harmony

Making the Mahatma shed tears

Were killed in communal violence

Mahatma's irony redoubled its force

When the exponent of the peace

The truth and the non-violence, neglecting 

His great contribution, the reputation

Making him responsible for partition

Having donated fifty five cores was 

Assassinated ironically by the violence
