Lucidity
Lucidity
I sat alone in a dark gloomy place
Where the spiders spun their webs,
Where bats hovered with restlessness.
Just obscurity of nothingness.
None could I see in the lightlessness,
Until a gentle tap called my name.
I found a book of letters in my hand,
Unassumingly illuminant.
Page upon the page as I devoured it,
The light grew stronger and stronger.
Hitherto bursting in upon me,
Till I could see the dark no longer.
The dreams I dreamt within my reach,
World, a gift waiting to be opened,
An adventure raring to be explored.
The lucidity of expression.
