Love In The Times Of Corona

As much as I would like to be with you now

Hold hands and with the music gently sway;

But the times are difficult and needs urgent,

And whole world is asking me to keep away.

Oh! The burning in my heart is so dreadful,

And I want nothing more than to be there;

Hope the same fire is raging in your heart,

And you constantly wonder - would I dare?

The roads are barred and minds scarred,

And the earth has turned into burning hell,

But dearest, I would still break away free,

If in your well -being my mind didn't dwell.

The tragedy that has rained down upon us,

Spreads it's deadly touch via one to other;

It does not care for our love or relationship

And it kills all equally - friend, foe or lover.

Why do the things have to be this way?

Why do we have to be apart? I know not;

There are no answers to pacify the heart,

But I know that it's only love that we've got.

In this uncertainty when all is falling apart,

Money matters not and luxury is but dust;

Behold your nerves dear and do take care,

For in each other we must place the trust.

Perhaps this is a test that we've to endure,

An ordeal at the beginning of our love-life,

But there will be many more when its over,

For what is life but fight against daily strife?

This storm would pass if we keep our faith,

And dream about the bright days to come;

I can pass any hurdle and face any trouble,

If you are with me then invincible I become.
