A pretty Lass

Holding a bouquet sitting on the grass

Aspiring to meet

The man of her dream

Drowsy since it’s been so long

Retching to vent out

Pent up passion

Lifelong wait

Drooping leaves of rose

Dying scent of jasmine

Faded fragrance of lavender

Illusion of dusk

Fluttering of sinking heart

Darkness engulfing hope

Sunset stamping end of the day

Seeking solace in surroundings to get away
