Life's Discipline
Life's Discipline
The softness of the wind
Just touched my shoulders
And whispered in my ears,
"Hey, I am here".
I looked around
There were no snowflakes
Covering the ground,
Trees were happy and active and sound,
There was no trace of winter!
The little raindrops
Just kissed my nose
And whispered in my ears,
"Hey, I am here".
I took a round
There was no lightning, no thunder
No storm, no torrent I found
And The rain too was over!
I kept waiting for the winter
And missed the cooler breeze,
I waited for the showers
And passed up the drizzle,
I kept searching for the biggest
And skipped the smaller lights,
I waited for happiness to come
And sidestepped the little delights!
I waited for perfection
And missed the real taste,
I realized life's discipline
When it was very late.
