Life Outside Walls

I remember that early morning dream

Sitting beside a cold perennial stream

I dreamt of a long journey on the road

Relaxing by the day on a secluded shore

I walked for a while with the tall deodars

Spent an evening among a million stars

I wandered too far into a distant village

Being awestruck with a surreal image

I remember getting into a conversation

Amazed by a vivid and surreal narration

On a cold night around a soothing fire

A modest meal as per my heart's desire

I wondered if any such thing could happen

Can I get away from this boring pattern

I so wished for a day outside these walls

Where life is much more than chats and calls
