Forbidden Dreams

I had a dream on a lonely night

A dream of going into the wild

Heard some distant voices calling

of the ones who have been exiled

I followed them into the backwoods

Leading right into their sacred ground

Seemed like chasing a ghost all along

As there wasn't a single soul to be found

I could still hear the whispers in my ear

Like they were trying to guide the way

But I could not make sense of anything

As I froze there with nothing more to say

Fiddling through sheets, I woke up in dark,

Riddled with a strange episode from the past

I walked upto the window to let the light in

wondering about the place that I have been

Sometimes I wonder if it all could be true

What If my subconscious was giving me a clue

The more I dived deep, the more it entangled

Over the time, the details got scrambled

While in my memory, I have got that crazy dream defiled,

Yet I could still hear those voices, calling me into the wild......
