Liar
Liar
So when you said Santa was real,
Was it all really a lie?
You could have just told me it was all fiction,
But I always wonder why,
You almost never did.
So I suppose it has to be real,
Because every year I'd tell you I wished for cars or robots or chocolates,
And he always had come by.
We used to hang the sock above the fireplace,
And you did all the pomp and show,
Told me Rudolph was in the wishes-factory
Making all my wishes come true.
I could almost not sleep yesterday,
I thought of the time when the tooth fairy left me,
3 bucks for the 3 teeth I had put under my pillow.
But I guess Santa is not like tooth fairy,
He does not know the pain to
Get three teeth knocked out of you,
Which I also think 3 bucks justly satisfy;
So I wonder why,
When you told me that tooth fairy was true, and it came by,
And you told me that Santa was true,
So when I wished for You,
The sock stays empty, why?
