Letting Go
Letting Go
He lives in a web of lies he knits,
He lies to himself as well as to her.
His ego gets hurt,
When she screams the truth.
He thinks of her as an enemy,
Little does he know that,
He has an enemy within.
Every time she tries to chase him,
He wants to flee.
She begs, she pleads, she cries;
All in vain.
No matter what she does,
He will treat it with disdain.
He wonders though they are so different,
Yet the same.
Both now they are hurting,
Still nobody is ready to take the blame.
She wants to pull him out of chaos,
But day by day, little by little;
She, herself becomes a mess.
And she realizes, she is the one who needs to be saved.
He is a bird meant to wander,
Her feelings- a cage.
And sky- his home.
So, she gives wings to her love
And sets it free.
Though she lets go of him,
And damage has been done.
She still ruminates what could have been different??
Pain never leaves her heart,
She senses as she has given away her part.
But Oh dear baby girl, it is what it is!
You got to be strong and pretend
That it doesn't bother you anymore;
And just accept the fact that,
Everything that starts, has to come to an end.
