Are We A Game

Are We A Game

You are beside me,

I still feel alone.

You judge me,

I misunderstand you.

I keep wondering,

I keep losing my mind-

What you think about me.

I keep on asking you,

You tell me - you don't have time.

I double text you, you are still online.

You promise to message me the other day,

I say, "Ok, fine".

I doubt, "Are you really that generous

Or just pretending to be kind?"

I keep on waiting,

I keep checking my phone.

I see no notification by your name - Alas!

Finally I lose my patience,

I ask you "Are we a game?"

You pull away — call me a pushover.

At that very moment, I feel like -

I woke up with a bad hangover.
