Last Sleep
Last Sleep
I just turned 84 today
And am reminiscing as on the bed I lay,
That how the years have fluttered by
And I soulfully silently sigh.
I remember my young ages
And the mom and I rage,
I remember my childhood pranks
And the salt and pepper study ranks.
I remember the crying days
I lost my life-giver to slay,
I remember my most important seven rounds
Which tied my life with new bounds.
I remember giving birth
To my devil naughty dearths,
I remember staying up all night
To give my kids the might -fight.
I remember my kids migrating away
And leaving us at alone bay,
But in the end
The birds came home to make amends.
I have lived my life to the fullest
Now I can happily finally rest,
I think it is time to meet the creator
Become one with the nature mater.
Thus sleeping for the last time
For the way up has started to shine.
