Lament Of A Tree

Had I got hands like a man

I would slap the cutters

Making them flat on the

Ground - tells the tree of

The jungle.

If I were a Don of the

Jungle I would smash

The poachers by a single

Shot- grunts the tree.

Had I got a miraculous

Black magic I might

Knock down the killers

Of tuskers- utters the

Anguished tree.

If I were an electric tree

I would give a shock to

The mercenary hackers

To drive them out of my

Forest - declares the

Tree.

If I were a carnivorous

I would devour all the

Anti-ecological cutters

Who hacks me to

Satisfy the industrialist -

Reacts the tree.

Was I a maneater tiger 

I would get ample food

By killing the conscience

Less inhuman poachers

In my jungle - imagine

The tree.

If I were a mountain I

Might finish all the antisocial

Foes of the mankind to be

Free from undue tension

By sudden eruption of

Volcanic lavas - Propose the

Jungle tree.

If I were a Governer of the

Forest, I would restrict the

Deforestation process

Launched by the greedy and

Commercially motivated

Citizens - opines the tree.

If I were a Tribal Head I

Would solicit the Government

For immediate withdrawal

Of permission granted to

The merciless hackers of

My family members during

21st Century- Eventually the

Bereaved Tree pray to God with

Tearful lamentation.
