Sit curled up in a corner

Wearing fear

Breathing escape

 

I have seen it

Transfixed in a spot

Avoiding eye contacts

Skimming replies to single words

 

I have heard it

Cry for hours in a go

Hope for death to come

And take it on board

 

I have heard it

Shun compliments

Refrain from positive vibes

Loom in denial

 

Now they call me names

For having a self esteem

That fears no man

And trusts nobody

 

How do I show them

The beauty in its awakening

The pain in its hardening

For all they see is the rudeness it came with.
