Khamoshi: Silence

There could never be a leash on my speech,

But when there’s nothing to say, I do not speak.

Its true there’s always something to say,

But anything can’t be said any day.

For those who choose their moments wisely,

Can dole out gold, saying anything scarcely.

One shouts and barks to his heart’s content,

The other has no words to patent.

For truth even when whispered, might come as deafening,

But one might die, when a lie is pretending.

Drowned in silence, my words roam freely,

It only takes one silent moment to hear them truly.

To listen to the words of silence, one will have to let go,

Of fears, vying and that bundle of ego.

The words of silence have nothing to plea,

As they’ll neither make you sad nor glee.
