Just A Thought?
Just A Thought?
This head has a mind of its own,
What the mind thinks cannot be known,
By any head that thinks alone.
If the freedom of speech is any minds choice,
Then if one speaks at will there cannot be a price,
Put upon that minds head,
Until in debt from what was said.
Once the air echo’s this vocal flight,
The speaker no longer has the right,
To these words that linger still,
And echoes round the minds they fill.
Can one word release a thousand thoughts,
From right to wrong and what was sought,
If this is so the mind alone has the power to decide and react,
Then with more words devour and attack.
Any mind that thinks aloud without a plan,
This strength of speech can break the strongest man,
So before the mind speaks out of turn,
Remember first to hold your tongue.
