When I felt alright.

When the pubs were crowded.

It was just yesteryear

When nothing was so corroded.

Excited about the new year,

We misunderstood it as an epidemic.

So credulous were we about this year,

We missed seeing the pandemic

Man is at risk,

Anxious, depressed and scared.

Earth is healing at brisk,

Growing, shining and cared.

Roads are empty.

Houses are caged.

Patients are plenty.

The economy is enraged.

Have faith

We will face the best.

The Universe sayeth

For a moment, let the world rest.
