In this bleak world of distress and misery what I miss the most is your face,

Your appearance in my life feels nothing but god's grace

I miss the notorious smirk and your impeccable smile,

So many beautiful people around me but nobody could match your style

My exhilaration is immeasurable when you're around me,

The uneasiness disappears and I start to smile with glee

The platonic friendship turned into love and I wasn't completely aware,

Your departure from my life made me feeble and the happiness turned into despair

I didn't want to smother you with my love so I pushed you away,

Seeing you with someone else aches my heart, a little clemency is all I pray

My life feels like a ship stuck in a tempest, where there is no way out,
