Delusion

I had a hunch that you were mine 

But it turned out to be an illusion

An illusion that kept me far away from reality

I inflated myself with a delusion 

I wished we could choose the one we fall for 

But life's not a movie

I drowned in my own thoughts questioning and spitballing

My love for you became the fetters that always hindered my growth 

Still it was the reason behind my happiness

Your smile made me ecstatic

Imagining myself with you every night seemed so inane

But these thoughts kept me alive whenever I was down

Your presence made me exhilarated 

You were the reason behind my euphoria

It's tough to unchain yourself from the shackles when you revere someone a lot

But life is just about ostracizing and being ostracized

I obliterated the love and feelings I had 

Coz in the end life's nothing but just a synonym of agony.
