In another shoe
In another shoe
There I was!
Hands on my hips,
Rolling eyes,
Tapping feet
Listening from one ear
And removing it from another
“Blah, Blah, Blah
Put yourself in my shoes, Blah Blah”
I was ready to scream
“Are you a serious mother?”
I slammed the door on her face
And refused to open it for another 3 days.
Sitting in the room
I got bored and then
I considered her advice
How bad can it be?
If my little girl
Wanted to run away
With her boyfriend to elope
I would have chained her to a chair
…..
Life changes
When you see it
From another person’s shoes
So leave what you are doing
And pick a pair
After a while you’ll see
That life isn’t actually fair
