I have seen

I have seen

1 min
200

I have seen people waving at the bright stars

Twinkling faintly in the dark skies,

Some believe them to be the souls lost

The only reminders perhaps

Of the love once lost, the loved ones lost.

Shedding tears in their memories,

Heart clenching in remembrance

A profound sorrow for what has been lost.

I have seen people waving at the moon

In the same dark skies.

Shyly glancing at the white beauty,

Missing a loved one, far away.

Hoping for them to see the same gorgeous moon

As they view.

Of abiding to all the promises once spoken of,

Of hoping them to keep those promises

For a lifetime and beyond.

Isn't this wonderful,

The way hope and despair lie so close by,

The way love and loss lie in the same dark skies,

Yet so afar, beckoning to different people

Cajoling different souls.

The stars and moon stay still

In those dark skies, each passing day,

Waiting for new calls coming their way,

Waving at them for a glance.
