I am a citizen
I am a citizen
Every people proudly proclaims I am a citizen of democracy
But it sounds cliché
Every corner of this country is reverberating the rhythm of protest
Every place is blowing the trumpet of pangs of hunger
Heart is being devasted listening the resonance of resentment of teachers on road
To live with dignity and self esteem
Farmers are weeping for assistance
Hopes and aspirations of innocents are frequently betrayed
There are plethora of ambiguities
Which raise the question of validity of democracy
We are the human beings who must be given freedom to smile
But every youth is running after an assurance
It seems as
Democracy is still awaiting for its complete manifestation.
