Hope for The World
Hope for The World

When a tree is cut down, a sapling is planted
Where a bushfire occurs, God sends the rain
With every evil act, a kind act is bound to follow
For this is the law of the Almighty
To preserve and protect the world.
The brightness of the world dims
The serpentine greed makes its way
Violence and utter selfishness takes over
As humanity is brazenly stripped
Yet the flickering flame still shines.
Day and night are two sides of the same coin
Both have to arrive to maintain the balance.
We get a choice to flip it if we don’t like one
However, lazy us, refuse to flip a side
And then complain of the prolonged day o
r night.
We can’t paint the entire world white
The colour of peace and truth
However, we can sincerely play our roles
Be responsible and be kind
First to ourselves and then to the world.
When the inner demons create tandav
The chaos spreads like wildfire
Taming those demons will unlock the heart
Peace and happiness will make us dynamic
And we’ll disperse that Light to wherever we go.
As long as the world exists there’ll be hope
For it is stubborn, a hard nut to crack
Let preaching take a back seat
Let compassionate deeds beat on the drum of life
The world will then change for the better.
