Her Amendments
Her Amendments
She was young,
Innocent and too
Simple to understand
The complex world.
She questioned every movement
And journey undertaken.
Was curious about her
Place in the world.
One day her life changed.
Innocence turned into complexity.
All time had frozen
In anger.
Her monster went roaring.
It was torn from the tip.
It was broken.
It was irreparable.
Then a streak of light,
A ray or a path,
She was shown
And asked to follow.
She amended her mistakes,
Controlled her emotions.
Gave rein to her ambitions
And reaped success
Here, we and she learnt
We help ourselves
We embrace ourselves
God loves us.
