SHE CAME BY
SHE CAME BY
I trusted her,
I trusted our friendship.
I trusted myself,
And the world.
She gave warmth,
Love and confidence.
She herself confided in me,
Yet, I don’t know what went wrong.
She taught me to believe in myself,
As she opened the doors of truth,
And light and faith came on the way
I tried to see the world in her way
Right, left, north, south, east and west.
I tried and searched, and even accomplished
Yet she told me I was silly.
The world’s reality was a myth,
Our life was the perfect fairy-tale.
But was the blissful tale ever-ending?
I didn’t know.
When my wings were almost ready,
She came and chopped them off.
I tried to perceive the reason,
But, she gave me no chance.
Sometimes, I feel maybe I was wrong,
Other times I know it was not my fault.
Either way, who knows what she thinks,
And who cares…
