Green Meadows Of My Life
Green Meadows Of My Life
The green meadows of my life
Stretch across far and wide
As far as the eye can see
As the neck moves from side to side
The emerald forests are just beyond
With age-old willows and oaks and birch
Home to a thousand and one beings
All singing and dancing in mirth
Tiny viridescent acorns grow
As spring erupts in song and dance
Shifting the last bits of winter snow
As fawns and foals happily prance
The meadow is my secret place.
Where I go when I want to hide
From the world that disturbs my trance
It isn't very difficult to find
I just have to close my eyes
And I am right in the midst of it
You have to look through my lenses
To find the place where I often sit
The green meadows of my life
Take me on a journey of self-love
The green grass by my feet
Blessed with the blue skies above!
