Grand Father

I was looking at you, but your eyes turned around

I was talking to you, but your heart dint tick any sound

They are saying You left the world, you left the ground

You have become a free soul, and now you are space-bound. 

Of all the people you have left behind

You have literally stopped their time

You were a great man, so cool so alive

I can't thank you enough

for things you did for me, my entire life. 

You had a presence that was so renowned

your vibe was pleasant, and personality so profound

I don't think you can ever be buried in the ground 

Coz for that, you must have been too proud

Also, I know when ill look around

I am sure, you will be found!

In each and every sound,

In all these beautiful faces of the crowd. 

Thinking back now, I really must say

I was privileged to have you to this day

If I be honest to you, then I would like to tell you

My whole world and whatever I did, really revolved around you

I wish I were a king or a god among the gods

I wouldn’t have let you die, I would have it stalled. 

Or I would have got both of you recalled,

back into my life... You and my Dad !

But alas! that is not how it works

You had your time, and we will have ours.

Now it's just us, against the whole world.

I will always keep you in my heart,

And I know for sure, we will never be apart. 

I know you are watching over me now,

For I can feel your presence somehow.

I will make you proud, my beloved Papaji!

Just like you always wanted me to be!

In everything I do, I will try to see...

A little bit of you, in me!
