Goodbye
Goodbye
I am a bird, imperial blue,
With wings of desire
And eyes that gaze higher
I talk to winds and aim horizon
I am no ordinary bird.
But I plucked my feathers
Desire dead,
I gave everything I had
To my little four eggs.
I hugged them, kissed them
And talked to them,
"My precious, my kids,
Mama is waiting for you."
And life came out of lifeless,
Four tiny little birds,
All little hungry ones,
Chirping for my love.
They were fearful to fly
Unknown to the world.
For once I thought,
"Why should they learn to fly?"
But keeping the thoughts aside
And filling them with desires,
Their flight with fire,
I taught them whatever I knew
To jump, to hide, to glide.
And the day came,
When they flew higher and higher
With adamant desire,
I could see the future,
No one returned and
It was goodbye forever.
