God's Retreat
God's Retreat
Hey there!
Welcome to my universe, my haven, my retreat
Blissfulness starts right from the street
I come here often to escape my life
My name is God, I need time-out from my wife.
You see, here I keep an unusual collection
Antiquited objects for my disposition
This hobby started suddenly with a big bang
I needed an outlet from my wife's harangue.
Let me give you a tour of my agglomeration
This unique collection demands admiration
Over the years my assortment has largely grown
But please don't tell my wife, or she will frown.
Ancient stars that were once shining bright
Their battery ran out over many a night
Black holes that suck light in like a charm
Go ahead! touch and see, there is no harm
Sometimes I recline on my couch for leisure
I let these dainty comets fly around for pleasure
Let me switch off the light for a special show
These Supernovas generate a super glow
Oh what's that lying in the corner I see?!
A blue round stone, I wonder what it could be?
Oh I know! this looks to be from my solar system collection
But eww, it seems to have an infestation.
Anyways! Let me leave that for now
It's not that important somehow
I'll clean and repair the solar system next time
Let's have some scotch, do you want yours with some lime?
