Audience
Audience
I am an eager spectator
Waiting for the curtain to rise
I hold my breath as the play starts
Expecting drama - action - surprise
I watch the various acts unfold
In this play of life and death
I am critical of the efforts taken
For the actors, stage and set
I scrutinize the play so far
Trying to read in between the lines
I pay attention to the dialogs spoken
By different actors over times
I laugh at jokes cracked
Or fume at injustice meted
I clap to the tune of songs
Or cheer at adventures completed
I display my feelings to cast and crew
Giving the necessary reactions
Afterall, life will not be a sucessful play
without its passionate audience.
