Giddy-Ied!
Giddy-Ied!
'Twas a sunny day at noon-
The maidens all floundered in a swoon
To the lads dancing out a croon
Each child exclaiming 'Old buffoons!'
Now a clown came dressed in doubloons-
Leading soldiers of a platoon,
All marching towards the saloon.
Absurd sights lay between
Assumed and the seen..
Pray tell, indeed why?
What bewitches the eye?
The crowd collectively sighed
Saying we all abide,
to the customs applied
in this no-nonsense town-
called Giddy-ied.
