OUR GET-TOGETHER!

We're in Madurai Medical College for more than five full years 

Learning in classrooms and Erskine Hospital wards as students

We used to meet, study in groups and discuss  mutual interests

Regularly attending clinics, lectures and seminars as friends.

 

Boys and girls played sports, games to enjoy puns all the years

We all had a nice time cracking jokes and showing off our talents

Some left in the middle of course and a few got closer as 'lovers'

We left the nest, flew away and settled in different parts as adults.

 

Took a lot of years for everyone to work hard in our own speciality 

Bought house, married and settled in a place to lead  normal family 

Busy work; looking after house, family and juggling work and life. 

Time is now for break from never-ending rush for money or pride!

 

Birds of feather flock together in a place for a frank and open talks

Get-together arranged as a special day for a reunion of classmates

Meeting after long time as contacts lost due to distance or busy days

Sharing knowledge and experiences as friends or roommates. 

 

Meet in a place away from hustle and bustle for catch up things, 

Update events, enquire about others and try to put the clock back, 

Crack jokes, enjoy pleasant moments and laugh heartily together. 

We had nice food, drink, wonderful time and enjoyed every second!

 

The hearts felt light, our minds relaxed and our spirits lifted high up.

Missed mates, pleasant memories in college life and their fellowship

Think about college life, opening up our hearts and  store up more 

Renew contacts, spent some time to-gather and enjoy the friendship.

 

Get-together's best way to reconnect with friends in a place at times, 

Last day of meeting's painful, we didn't leave the venue till late night! 

Keep on asking for contacts; mail ids, phone number and PIN Codes 

Leaving the hall, think about planning to meet again, hopefully soon?
