Freedom
Freedom
Back in my stable,
The dried hay seems warmer
Then the grass;
The bars fence my boundaries
And lay me secure,
The bridle is off
The last piece
That sets me free.
Tomorrow at dawn
The saddle be back
Girdles and reins with stirrups
To balance the odds.
We shall trot and gallop
In the free wind and meadows
As you command,
Freedom reined in
This vastness is bound.
